Vesper menu is a journey through the Mediterranean by both land and sea, finished with an island-focused approach to each dish. The cuisine has a story, much like those told by fishermen across the Aegean, reflected in light overtones, plates full of colour, attention to composition, and a food profile that engages all the senses.
Guest Presenter Laura Gay
Sensory Manager at Fragrance Artisans
Laura Gay is Australia’s “nose” in the niche fragrance and beauty world. Donned a “Scentsister” by Ainslie Walker, award winning fragrance writer and scent maker, Laura will share with you her vast knowledge of fragrance and beauty. Introducing you to high-quality European fragrances and skincare brands possessing attention to detail in production, limited manufacture and with characteristics only achieved by artisanal concept and design. Laura has a particular eye for design and a nose for beautifully made perfumes with stories to tell.
Laura’s olfactive skills have taken her around the Globe with Fragrance Artisans. “Our fragrance selection process is rigorous and can’t be forced by mainstream demand. The fragrances we have selected are here because we love the portraits of their scents and their makers.”
“Fragrance is comparable to fashion, in that perfume allows us to express different facets of ourselves and project parts that are usually hidden. Guest Presenter Marlane Fraser-Smith
International Partnership Marketing Specialist and Hotelier
Marlane was born in Portugal, raised in South Africa and Australia and recently returned from 10 years in Dubai to Melbourne and is now co-owner of Vesper Bistro & Bar.
Having carved out a stellar career in leadership roles by creating high value incentive based marketing programs throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and Australia.
Hospitality and travel is in Marlane's blood and has become a deep seated life long passion and career. As an independent world traveller with a high value on relationships, an emotionally intelligent approach and combined with focus, competency, action and integrity, (not to mention a great sense of humour)!
Marlane will share her passion, insight and tips on strategic partnership marketing and building strong business relationships.
